Paul Battisti: Experience and Community Commitment

F. Paul Battisti was sworn in as Broome County District Attorney on January 1, 2024.

Prior to his November 2023 election to the position, Paul served as a successful private practice attorney with a focus on criminal defense work and representing Law Enforcement agencies. Over nearly two decades as an attorney, he handled thousands of cases in Federal, State, County and Municipal courtrooms across New York.

Beyond his professional qualifications, Paul has given back by volunteering his time as a youth and high school sports coach and as a board member of the Twin Tiers Honor Flight, Police Athletic League, Addiction Center of Broome County, Broome County Criminal Justice Advisory Board, Broome County Treatment Court Team, Broome County Bar Association (Past President) and Broome County Library Foundation, among others.

Paul is a graduate of Seton Catholic Central High School, Siena College and Thomas Jefferson School of Law School. He was born and raised in Broome County and lives with his wife, Christine, and their five children in Kirkwood.
